As promised in a previous post I'm posting some pictures here from the show.. well.. some from the show and some just of the set and my lighting. This is the first show that I have designed, rigged and operated the lighting for that I have actually been proud of. Yes, I did all the work for Grease in February but I wasn't as proud of that as I am of this one - I don't know what it is but I just think that for grease I kind of just threw sme lights on and hoped for the best - this time I actually sat down and thought about it. I think this is probaboy down to the fact that the only thing I had to worry about sound wise was 3 radio mics for speach and some CD's for the music. It's times like these that I like having the student crew that I have - Jack and John ae fantastic - I'm slowly getting them used to my way of working and there getting bloody good at what they do! Between the two of them they ran the music and mic's meaning I could concentrate on the lighting. Anyway... the pics...(click on the pic for more options)

So what have I been doing since last time? Mainly I've been doing stuff for the school show... lot's of late nights and the same mornings as usual so by saturday I was rather knackerd. Maybe that had something to do with going out with work after the show in Leeds on Friday night! Bit of a damp squib of a night for the aftershow party really - we finished the show and went into leeds. I was staying the night at Matt's so drove to his, followed by my boss who gave me a lift from Matt's to wherever we went out. Matt joined us later (which caused some interested looks). Not everyone at work (outside of the Drama department) knew I'm Gay... well they do now! I never thought when I invited Matt out but it was all good! The night was a bit pants - matt went home early as he felt a bit out of place.. I tried to convince him otherwise but it didn't work. After that I didn't seem to enjoy the night so called it a night myself after having the one drink in the Wardrobe and walked onto matts.
Single duvet, two people and a cold radiator doesn't make for a good nights sleep....
Maybe more updating later but now I'm bored of typing so this will have to do for now...
